Ante los rumores y preocupaciones sobre una privatizaci\u00f3n del servicio, la ministra enfatiz\u00f3 que no existe intenci\u00f3n alguna de privatizar Sedapal o las Empresas Prestadoras de Servicios de Saneamiento (EPS) en el pa\u00eds. Su objetivo es mantener estos servicios p\u00fablicos, pero mejorar su eficiencia y modernizaci\u00f3n para ofrecer un servicio de calidad y equitativo\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b.<br>P\u00e9rez de Cu\u00e9llar tambi\u00e9n indic\u00f3 que se est\u00e1 evaluando un ajuste en las tarifas de agua potable, especialmente en zonas residenciales de Lima, donde actualmente se pagan tarifas m\u00e1s bajas en comparaci\u00f3n con distritos que carecen de este servicio y dependen de camiones cisterna.
